Arizona resident Seth Chalmers oversees all aspects of project management and business operations at Chalmers Engineering Services Inc. (CESI). As President, Owner, and Chief Engineer since 2001, Seth Chalmers leads the Tempe consulting firm in traffic engineering research, design, and planning, as well as in the development of traffic control standards and specifications. Drawing on more than two decades of expertise in the civil and traffic engineering industry, Seth Chalmers and CESI currently handle everything related to traffic engineering, including related research, impact studies, road safety audits, retroreflectivity measurement, pavement markings, traffic signals, control of construction traffic, and roadway lighting. Mr. Chalmers’ extensive track record includes the planning and management of projects involving drainage systems, highways, border stations, roadway lighting, pavement marking, and transportation product testing. Contracted by the Arizona Department of Transportation, Seth Chalmers’ CESI actively supports the Product Resource Investment Deployment and Evaluation program, for which it frequently conducts traffic-related product and material reviews. In May 1995, Seth Chalmers founded Chalmers Engineering Company, which later became TASK Engineering Company. Prior to establishing CESI in 2001, Seth Chalmers served six years as President and Co-owner of Phoenix’s TASK. Seth Chalmers graduated from the University of Arizona in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Three years later, Seth Chalmers attended Arizona State University, where he completed graduate studies in advanced concrete structures and underground hydrology.
